Founders bio

Gerry Cavaliere is a retired teacher and singer/songwriter who began introducing music into his classroom and other schools as a way to reach students and teachers on another level.  His band the “Molly’s Boys Jug Band”, who he cofounded with Dave Driskell and Allan Combs II,  play local schools doing assemblies since 2017 and began playing other venues in 2018.  Many of Gerry’s original songs are showcased in the Molly’s Boys set list and in his other project  “Gerry Cavaliere and Friends” that features many other local artists. Gerry writes across many genres of music including, but not limited to americana, folk, and blues. In 2025 he started the “ Gerry Cavaliere and Friends Mapleton Music Project”,  where he plans to create live recordings and a venue for songwriters, storytellers and audience members who want a quiet Listening Room experience with great acoustics. The Mapleton Music Project is located at  2408 Highland Lake Rd. Hughesville Pa. 17737 in the Old Mapleton church.
